Video Guide for Setting Up Your eBay Accounts

Watch this video for a step by step guide to setting up your eBay accounts.

Alternatively, you can follow the instructions below.

Links to your eBay Accounts

With eBay, you have two accounts:

1. Your eBay affiliate account is where you will check your sales and can be found at https://partnernetwork.ebay.com/

2. Your eBay developer account is for connecting your store to eBay and can be found at https://developer.ebay.com

Opening Your eBay Accounts

The first account to sign up for is the eBay Partner account as it might take a day or two for them to review and approve your application. You can sign up with your eBay account or use an existing Google or Facebook account.

Once you choose your login, you'll fill out the personal information needed to complete your account.

Under PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION  you will see some fields that need to be selected. For "Partner Type" choose Shopping/Comparison. For Property Type select Website and add in a website. It can be a blog, doesn't have to be your store URL. If you created social media pages for your store, you can add those in as well under Social Networks. If you didn't create any social media accounts for the store yet, you can just leave this part blank.

Once you're done with filling in the information, you will see a message like the one below. Please note that it can take a day or more for eBay to review your application and for you to receive a confirmation email. Once you've completed your partner network application, it's time to complete your eBay developers account.

You will go to: https://developer.ebay.com/ and register for a new account. Please note that you can't use the same information that you used for your partner network account. You need TWO separate account and login details.

Once you complete the application, you will receive an email. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don't see it in you Inbox.

Your Developer account is where you will find your eBay App ID and Auth code while your Partner network is where you'll find and create your eBay Tracking IDs.

First, we will get the eBay APP ID needed for the FS eBay Settings Page. Go to https://developer.ebay.com/ and click on Hi (user ID) - Application Access Keys. You will need to log in or register for your account if you never had one.

Once you log in, you will need to fill out the information in order for them to generate a new set of Production keys. Once you add the Application Title (anything you want), the Sandbox and Production option will show up.

Once you add the Application Title, select the Create a keyset, located under the Production and select Individual. If you didn't fill out the information before, the popup box will show and you'll need to fill out the fields.

Once you confirm the information, select Continue to Create Keys. The below image is what you'll see in your account as well.

In order to add single eBay products to your store, you need an Auth Code. To do this, you will click on the User Tokens which is located next to your App ID (Client ID) text.  A new page will open where you will be able to choose the Auth'n'Auth code under Get a User Token Here. Again, I needed to confirm my information and then it takes me to login to Partnership page.

Once you login and confirm the eBay agreement, you will get your Auth Token.

With APP CLIENT ID you will also need a CAMPAIGN ID to set for your store. I would recommend setting up a new campaign ID for each store you run, so you can track sales and progress. Login at https://partnernetwork.ebay.com/ and click on Campaigns - Active Campaigns

If you are new to eBay then you might need to create a new campaign. These are just tracking IDs for eBay sales and reports. Click New Campaign and pick a name that relates to your website and they will give you a CAMPAIGN ID.

Now you are ready to start having some fun. The next step is to add your APP ID and Campaign ID to your store. Login to your freshadmin control panel and click on: SETTINGS - Your eBay Settings

Just paste in your App ID (Client ID) information under Your eBay App ID. This usually starts with your name, the application title, a dash and some numbers. (Your APP ID is located in your eBay Developers account.)

Your eBay Tracking ID is your eBay Partner Campaign ID and it's just a few numbers. You will find the campaign ID in your Partner Network account.

The "Auth Code" is used for single products and is found in your developers account by clicking User Token next to your App ID. You will paste the full code under Your eBay User Auth Token.

Now we will go over the Design Tab and click on Template Options

The settings for ebay will be all the way at the bottom.

eBay Related Products Title- Here you can change "The Best Products on eBay" to anything you want. I changed it to Deals from eBay
eBay Related Products Quantity- This is how many eBay items you want to showcase. The default quantity is 10 but you can change it to as many or as few items as you want.
Display eBay Related Products- This option allows you to either hide or show the eBay items on your store.
Display Amazon Related Products- This option allows you to either show or hide Amazon related products. We gave you the option to show both, eBay and Amazon, products on your store or either one.
Product Info Page Sort Order-This option allows you to change up the order of:
*Amazon Related Products
*User Reviews
*eBay Related Products
Show View eBay Options Button- This option adds another box under your Add to Cart and/or Buy from Amazon boxes. When the customer clicks on it, they will be taken to the section on that page that has the eBay items.

Now you are ready to set keywords for your product. The FSB eBay feature will pull the product title and search it on eBay and if anything matches, it will show them.
If you are not seeing the eBay widget on your product page like the example below, that means you will need to set a keyword for your product. You will need to edit that product.

When you are on the Edit Product screen, click the OPTIONS tab and you will see the eBay Keywords field. For this example I just took the main product title which is "Wings Mikuni 24".

Now you can see the eBay widget showing on my product page, looks really cool.
If you notice that Amazon Related products are showing before the eBAy widget, its because I changed the sort order under Template Options as shown earlier in this guide. You can change the sort order of the widgets for the product page.
