OneAzon - Compliancy with the Amazon Terms of Service

In order to provide maximum flexibility and compatibility with a wide variety of WordPress themes, we have provided (3) ways to add this Disclosure to your site:

• Embed in Posts and/or Pages with a shortcode
• Use the provide Compliance Widget to add to sidebars and other widget areas
• Add directly to your theme template files

Adding to Posts & Pages with Shortcode

To add the Compliance Text to your posts or pages, you just need to use the provided shortcode:

Once you then save or publish the page, it will output the exact text as you have defined in your settings.

Adding Using the Compliance Widget

You may wish to add the Amazon Affiliate Disclosure text to a widgetized area in your theme – such as a sidebar or a footer-area widget. We have provided the “FBM: Amazon TOS Text” widget that you can add to any widgetized area of your theme.

Adding to Theme Template Files

Some Amazon affiliates prefer to add the Affiliate Disclosure to every page on their site, usually by adding this to the footer area. Many available WordPress themes do not provide for widgets in this area, but you can add the shortcode into your theme template by utilizing the “Do Shortcode” function:

Amazon Pricing Policy

When retrieving product information and pricing from the Amazon Advertising API, we utilizing caching to help deal with throttling issues from Amazon and other slow update problems. As such, at certain times the product prices shown on your bundle may be cached, and you will see a “Price Last Updated” message display.

As part of the Amazon Associates agreement, you are also required to display additional disclaimer information. You may wish to edit this text for localization, or because you have changed the locale you are promoting, etc. We have provided a field to change this text on your “Translation Options” page.
