Deciding on your niche
One question that we get a lot from customers is “What niche should I choose for my store?”. When it comes to selecting your niche, this is your decision and you have to do your research. While choosing a niche that you’re passionate about can help you write content it might not be a good option for the current market. If you want a good niche, think long term. What products are selling and will always have buyers? What field is expanding, creating new products and is making our lives better?
If you have a niche in mind, the next thing is to decide if there is a gap in the market. This means, is there something that’s missing in which you can bring even more awareness to the item/niche and how? You can create videos, write articles or even add a poll that customer can participate in.
When you choose a niche you need to make sure that you’ll enjoy it or at least want to learn more about it. If you’re interested in the niche, you’re more willing to do research and work on the store. Again, it doesn’t have to be a passion of yours but it should interest you.
Another thing to think about when choosing a niche is its lifespan. Will the niche last you three or more years? If you see it lasting at least three years, you should go with it and build your store.
Lastly, when deciding on your niche you need to do some research and make sure it’s not oversaturated. If there is too much competition in that niche it can take longer for your website to get the traffic you want. If you think you can still create inventive ways to reach your audience that will bring your website to the first page then choose the niche. If you can find at least one low competition keyword that you can build your website around in that niche, it can work.
